Career Opportunity: Accounts Executive
Unitum Chemicals (Pvt) Ltd, a pioneer in the manufacturing and distribution of calcium carbonate-based products, processing and export of rock salt, and milk powder importer is seeking a dynamic and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Accounts Executive, reporting to the Group Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Assist in tax computations (Income Tax, VAT, APIT, etc.)
- Maintain fixed asset registers and conduct related audits
- Review and verify payments
- Prepare financial reports and summaries
- Uphold internal controls in line with established SOPs
- Finalize weekly bank reconciliations
- Maintain Tally Accounting system UpToDate.
Qualifications & Experience
- Successfully completed CA Sri Lanka Business Level II and currently reading for Corporate Level
- Minimum 1½–2 years of audit experience will be considered as a plus but not mandatory.
- Total 4 – 5 year experience within which manufacturing sector experience will be added advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel to Colombo and outstation factories for audits and operational needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English
- Team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to work extended hours on weekdays if required
