Digital Content Creator
Mark and Comm is looking for a Digital Content Creator to produce content for our clients and our own channels that looks good, sounds human and gets noticed. You will turn briefs, news and ideas into posts, short videos, graphics and copy, and take a concept from first idea to finished piece with very little hand holding.
Our clients span technology, aviation, financial services, hospitality, agriculture and manufacturing in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, so no two weeks look the same.
What the role covers
- Creating social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, including short videos, reels, carousels, graphics and captions
- Writing clear, engaging copy for posts, video scripts and campaign content, in English and Sinhala where possible
- Building and managing content calendars for client accounts and agency channels, and keeping to publishing schedules
- Turning client briefs, press releases and campaign ideas into digital content, and handling feedback quickly
- Tracking engagement and reach, reporting on what works and using it to improve future content
- Supporting influencer campaigns, events and launches with live coverage and post event content
- Contributing content to our technology news publication, Techie.lk, as needed
- Keeping up with platform changes, trends and new formats, and bringing fresh ideas to the team
Who we are looking for
- Solid experience creating digital content, ideally at a PR, marketing or digital agency
- A strong portfolio that shows video, design and copywriting work
- Confident with Canva, CapCut or Adobe Premiere, and Photoshop or similar tools
- Excellent written English, with Sinhala an advantage and Tamil a bonus
- A good eye for detail, and comfortable handling deadlines and several accounts at once
- Self motivated and organised enough to work well remotely
Working arrangement
This is a full time remote position, with physical meetups at our Parkland Building office in Colombo as required.
