Intern System Support Engineer
Medcube USA is looking for a motivated Intern System Support Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support, Windows systems, and networking, servers, virtualization, and cloud technologies while working alongside experienced IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic support for Windows operating systems, servers, and IT infrastructure.
- Assist with basic Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, DNS, and DHCP tasks.
- Provide basic technical support for computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic network and connectivity issues.
- Assist with software installation, updates, patching, and routine system maintenance.
- Assist with monitoring system health and infrastructure alerts.
- Support basic backup and restore activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with VMware and Hyper-V virtual machine-related tasks.
- Assist with basic Microsoft SQL Server monitoring and support.
- Assist with IT security, access control, and system maintenance activities.
- Maintain IT support documentation and update technical records.
- Follow IT support procedures and security guidelines.
- Escalate complex or critical technical issues to Senior System Engineers.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications or training is an advantage.
Experience
- Fresh graduates and students with a strong interest in IT infrastructure and system support are encouraged to apply.
- Practical experience with Windows, networking, or computer hardware is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and computer networking.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Basic understanding of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
- Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of IT security and access management.
Personal Skills
- Strong interest in learning IT infrastructure and system administration.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
