ASSISTANT MANAGER - TAX

We are an innovative and growing company with operations planned to expand around the world, is looking for a young dynamic person to join our team as an Assistant Manager - Tax with proven relevant or similar experience in the following key responsible areas
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA (Partly qualified).
- Membership in the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Sri Lanka (CITSL) is strongly preferred.
- Additional tax-related certifications (Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation, Advanced Certificate in Taxation) are an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in taxation.
- Experience in a diversified group or top-tier audit firm is preferred.
- Strong exposure to corporate tax, VAT, WHT, and statutory taxes.
- Prior experience handling IRD audits, appeals, and compliance processes.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the tax compliance, reporting and payment requirement of the company and the subsidiaries.
- Review and approve tax computations, returns, reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and get the income tax computation and filling done.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of the tax returns and payments of all the companies.
- Coordinate with IRD officials, manage tax audits, assessments, appeals and other correspondence.
- Ensure VAT refunds are obtained within 45 days of submission through timely preparation, follow-up, and submission of all required supporting documents.
A self-motivated person, with good communication skills and a proven track record for meeting deadlines with a positive attitude, eager to learn and adapt to new environment.
