Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following permanent positions, subject to a one-year probation period.
01. PLUMBER (01)
Basic Qualifications
- Having obtained proficiency certificate not below than the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level four (04) issued by a technical / vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of each post. (Relevant field for each post should be clearly mentioned.)
Other Qualifications
- Minimum of three (03) years' experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work in buildings, apartments or commercial premises.
- Practical knowledge of maintaining water supply systems, wastewater and sewerage systems, water pumps, water tanks and related equipment.
- Ability to work when required for emergency maintenance work.
02. ELECTRICIAN (01)
Basic Qualifications
- Having obtained proficiency certificate not below than the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level four (04) issued by a technical / vocational training institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the function of each post. (Relevant field for each post should be clearly mentioned.)
Other Qualifications
- Minimum of three (03) years' experience in electrical maintenance and repair work in buildings, apartments or commercial premises.
- Practical knowledge of maintaining three-phase electrical systems, distribution panels, motors, pumps, generators and other electrical equipment.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work when required for emergency maintenance work.
Remunerations
Basic - Rs. 42,500.00 + the institution-approved Cost of Living Allowance, Transport Allowance and Telephone Allowance will be applicable.
COMMON QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO POSITION
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
- Should be of excellent moral character.
- EPF contribution will be 10% by the employee; OVDC will contribute 15% and 3% for EPF and ETF respectively.
- Age should be not less than 21 years and not more than 45 years.
