Visiting Lecturers – Engineering
Module - Manufacturing Systems Design

REQUIREMENTS
TEACHING AND LEARNING
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions on Lean Manufacturing, JIT, production control, and manufacturing process improvement.
- Teach equipment maintenance strategies, quality management, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Explain and apply tools such as OEE, Kanban, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process simulation.
- Integrate industrial case studies and practical examples to enhance students’ understanding of manufacturing systems and productivity improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree or an equivalent academic qualification at SLQF Level 9 or above is required.
- A Master’s degree specialising in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field will be considered as an added advantage.
- A minimum of one year of teaching and research experience in a higher education institution is required.
- Relevant industrial experience in manufacturing, production, maintenance, or process improvement will be considered an added advantage.
