Trillium Group, an established property developer in Sri Lanka, is seeking a highly experienced, dedicated and results-driven Site Engineer to lead and oversee the finishing stages of residential projects.
We are looking for a hands-on professional who can take full responsibility for site execution, effectively manage technical officers and skilled workers, and ensure that all works are completed to the highest quality standards within established project deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all finishing works, including masonry, plastering, tiling, painting, ceilings, carpentry and associated MEP finishing activities.
- Manage, assign tasks to and monitor Technical Officers (TOs), supervisors, skilled workers and subcontractors.
- Establish daily and weekly work targets and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Closely monitor workforce productivity, site progress and adherence to project timelines.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications and quality standards.
- Identify delays, resolve operational challenges and implement corrective measures to maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure uninterrupted progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections, maintain progress records and submit reports directly to management.
- Enforce site safety standards, quality control procedures and workforce discipline.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognized professional qualification.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in civil construction, with substantial experience managing finishing works.
- Proven experience in multistorey residential apartment developments or similar large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of finishing methods, construction sequencing and quality control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Technical Officers, skilled workers and subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines.
Remuneration
LKR 300,000 – 500,000 gross per month
Depending on qualifications, relevant experience, leadership capabilities and commitment.
