MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
INTRODUCTION
E. W. Balasuriya & Co. Ltd is seeking to appoint an experienced MEP Engineer in Colombo. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings.
JOB PROFILE
- Designing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for new and existing buildings
- Reviewing and analyzing the specifications and designs of a building's MEP systems
- Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate MEP systems into the overall building design
- Ensuring the designed systems meet all safety and performance requirements
- Using CAD or other design software to create detailed MEP system plans and diagrams
- Inspecting and supervising the installation of MEP systems to ensure they are installed correctly and functioning optimally
- Performing system calculations and preparing specifications, reports, and other documentation
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise with the MEP systems during the construction or operation of the building
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in MEP engineering to continuously improve system efficiency and sustainability
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience as an MEP Engineer
- Knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, other drafting software
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Proficient in the use of design and calculation software
- BSc degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
