ASSISTANT MANAGER - BUSINESS ANALYTICS

Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with management to inform priorities and provide business information to help SLIC GENERAL grow.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of the new core system, focusing on data analytics and integration.
- Own the identification of opportunities via SLIC GENERAL data and implementing an approach to data driven decision making.
- Being accountable for the integrity of SLIC GENERAL data and investigating and diagnosing issues in SLIC GENERAL records and reporting.
- Support SLIC GENERAL management with the creation of reports to inform sales and marketing performance.
- Create informative dashboards and BI reports in support of SLIC GENERAL users and management needs.
- Work with SLIC GENERAL Development/Dev Ops teams to drive consideration of analytics/tracking in new features.
- Support SLIC GENERAL functions with testing and data requirements for continuous improvement of SLIC GENERAL customer facing apps.
- Responsible for leading a team of analysts, assigning tasks, and monitoring their progress.
- Responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and providing insights to support business decision-making.
- Work with other departments to identify business challenges and opportunities and develop data-driven strategies to address them.
- Communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree/Post Graduate Diploma / Degree/ Special Degree/Professional Qualification or Equivalent related to the functional area from a University/institute approved by the UGC.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Analytics / MIS, including at least 6 years in a Senior Executive grade, with proven experience in managing data and leading a team.
- Strong technical expertise in SQL, with at least 3 years of experience extracting data from databases such as Oracle and MSSQL.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos Analytics, Tableau, Qlik or Oracle Analytics Server, along with data analysis tools such as MS Excel and SPSS.
- Proven experience in handling large datasets, relational databases, data visualisation and translating business requirements into actionable insights.
- Ability to utilise data analytics to support business growth, revenue enhancement and strategic decision-making.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience in the insurance industry would be an added advantage.
- Age should be below 45 years.
