SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Harcourts Pharmacy is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing retail pharmacy chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor inventory costing, financial controls, and retail pharmacy operations.
- Coordinate payroll, bank reconciliations, taxation, and audits.
- Provide accurate financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com), or a related field.
- Fully or partly qualified in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a retail pharmacy chain or a similar retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, inventory management, and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
