JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Idea Hub is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and work directly under the Senior Quantity Surveyor. This position is specifically suited to someone with practical experience in interior fit-out, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or related custom fabrication work. The role requires someone who is comfortable working with drawings, quantities, materials, costing, and detailed project documentation, and who takes accuracy seriously.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, joinery, furniture, or a closely related field
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Ability to read architectural, interior, and joinery drawings
- Good understanding of furniture, joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and fabrication methods
- Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Excel and standard QS documentation
- Experience using ERP or project management systems will be an advantage
- Comfortable working with detailed data and maintaining accurate records
- Willingness to visit sites and the factory when required
- Organised, methodical, and able to work to deadlines
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in interior fit-out and joinery quantity surveying
IMPORTANT
- This is a Junior QS position reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- The role involves a significant amount of detailed costing, documentation, BOM review, and ERP data entry.
- Accuracy is extremely important.
Candidates without relevant experience in furniture, joinery, interior fit-out, or similar work may not be suitable for this position.
