Sarvodaya, the premier voluntary social development organization in Sri Lanka, immediately requires a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented person to fill the following vacancy.

Vacancy: Technical Officer

Location: Sarvodaya – Headquarters (Moratuwa)

Specific Responsibilities

  • Facility & Maintenance Supervision: Oversee end-to-end building maintenance, repairs, and internal construction across HQ and District Offices while implementing quality control and resolving technical challenges.
  • Stakeholder & Contractor Management: Manage relationships and coordinate activities with contractors, service providers (A/C, fire safety, generator, solar), architects, and internal management.
  • Utilities & Electrical Systems: Maintain HQ electrical and solar installations, analyze monthly electricity bills, and liaison with Lanka Electricity Company.
  • Budgeting & Resource Management: Prepare BOQs, control maintenance budgets, schedule resources, and maintain records of laborer hiring.
  • CAD & Technical Documentation: Design AutoCAD dimensional plans, contribute to design processes, and maintain organized files of drawings, reports, correspondence, and payment details.
  • Reporting & Guidance: Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams and submit work completion and monthly progress reports to management.

Key Qualifications

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Facility Management OR full qualification in NDT, NDES, HNDE, or NCT in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, including at least 3 years in Civil Construction.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel and work based at any site location and handle long hours.

Age: Below 35 Years

Remuneration: Rs. 75,000 - Rs. 85,000
