FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

LECTURER – PROBATIONARY

We invite applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Lecturer (Probationary), specializing in Agricultural Technology, with expertise in the following areas:

• Plantation Crop Production Technology
• Soil Science
• Soil management
• Statistics/Biometry
• Plant Science
• Plant physiology

THE ROLE

Maintain high standards of teaching and learning while ensuring effective supervision of student research.

Develop and sustain industry collaborations while contributing to curriculum development and academic program improvement.

Support departmental administrative and academic activities, including participation in meetings, seminars, and faculty initiatives.

Engage in research, publications, and student mentoring activities.

ELIGIBILITY

• A degree with specialization in the following subjects with a First or Second Class (upper Division) from a recognized university

(B.Sc Honours in Agriculture / BSc Honours in Agricultural Science / BSc in Honours in Agro-Technology / BSc Honours in Agricultural Technology and Management / B.Sc Honours in Agricultural Technology and Resource Management / B.Tech. Honours in Agricultural Technology / B.Sc. Honours in Biosystems Technology)

Should have completed a postgraduate diploma level in a 2-year research-based master degree in the related field.

• Minimum of three (03) years of experience in one or more of the following:
• 1. Teaching at University Level
• 2. Professional experience in the relevant industry
• 3. Research experience in a recognized institution
