Assistant Accountant

Job Profile
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with production costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and variance analysis to support cost control and operational decision-making.
- Support the monthly and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and closing schedules.
- Prepare accurate supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist in reviewing accounting transactions and identifying discrepancies, ensuring timely corrective action.
- Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities.
- Assist in identifying and resolving ERP-related accounting issues and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit and management purposes.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to obtain necessary financial information and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of finance processes.
Person Profile
- Part qualification in AAT / CIMA / ACCA / CA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in production costing and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment.
