Manager/ Assistant Manager - Pharmaceutical Operations
Ceylon Hospital is seeking a dynamic, experienced and result-oriented professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day pharmaceutical operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Plan, implement and monitor pharmaceutical operational activities to achieve organizational goals.
- Manage inventory stock levels, procurement, receiving storage and distribution of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure accurate documentation record keeping and timely reporting.
- Coordinate with suppliers vendors and internal departments to ensure timely availability of pharmaceutical products.
- Monitor stock movements, expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise guide and evaluate staff performance and provide training when necessary.
- Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Control operational costs while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Support management in planning, budgeting and operational decision making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management / Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management/ Stores Management/ Business Management.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management / Procurement / supply chain processes and operational procedures.
- Good leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office and good computer literacy.
- Candidates with experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment will be an added advantage.
