Job Description
Job Profile:
- Implement the Bank’s IT strategy, aligning it with the business objectives of the Bank and regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement innovative IT applications, and prepare annual strategic plans for the IT department in coordination with other departments.
- Develop and manage IT projects, and system migrations while providing support for the bank's risk management strategies. Actively engage in the review of technical designs and prepare plans that outline expected tasks and activities.
- Create and oversee the IT budget to ensure cost-effective technology investment, while maintaining high-quality IT services.
- Support to adjust IT standards, architectures, and technologies by acquiring necessary software/hardware and providing expert support in system backups, archiving, disaster recovery and general ticket resolution.
- Oversee daily operations of the department, guiding the team to promptly resolve IT-related issues and provide solutions with consistent quality, following best practices and the ITIL framework.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the IT applications portfolio, IT system, network and network security across the bank.
- Involve in preparing Technical CAPEX and maintaining an operational budget that aligns with the bank’s overall strategy.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance business operations and competitive advantage.
- Provide IT-related consultancy when required by the other departments and present in strategic and management committees.
- Develop, review, and monitor the team to ensure they have the skills and resources to meet departmental KPIs.
Candidate Prerequisites:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in a related field would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology of which a minimum of 04 - 05 years in a Senior Management capacity, preferably in a Bank.
- Exposure to IT solutions in commercial banks, software, architecture & project management, and a thorough understanding of the role of IT within a progressive financial organization.
- Should be an analytical, logical person with a proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of IT professionals.
- Proactive in grasping emerging IT trends and suggesting continuous improvements with out-of-the-box thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
