Assistant Manager – Food Safety & Compliance
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Food Safety & Compliance to join our team and drive operational excellence across our service units. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and manage integrated food safety and compliance systems in alignment with HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Deliver structured training programs on food safety, occupational health & safety, and environmental compliance for both site-level and management teams.
- Lead risk assessments, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and support external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification processes.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all compliance and quality assurance activities.
- Conduct on-site audits, staff training, compliance reviews, and incident investigations across SBUs as needed.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation, industry best practices, and emerging technologies, updating company policies accordingly.
- Report on performance metrics, identify risk areas, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Nutrition, Food Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or compliance within the food industry.
- Experience in the catering or hospitality industry will be considered a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding and experience managing audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance frameworks.
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently to support operations across multiple SBUs.
