Maintenance Executive
Ruhunu Farms (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Holding (Pvt) Ltd, a prominent commercial poultry farming and agricultural company based in Hambantota, Southern Province, Sri Lanka. We are currently seeking dynamic and self-oriented individuals to join our Maintenance Department for the above opening.
The Maintenance Executive is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of poultry farm equipment, facilities, and systems. This role ensures that all machinery, infrastructure, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning efficiently to support farm operations and production. The Maintenance Executive will also be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of work experience in similar job capacity
- Diploma or NVQ higher grade qualification in MEP or related qualification
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Technical knowledge in farm machinery and equipment will be an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Capability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
- Oversee daily maintenance activities & Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Minimize downtime with timely and efficient maintenance
- Supervise and train maintenance staff & Delegate tasks and monitor project progress.
- Prepare and present maintenance reports to management & Update management on maintenance activities and issues.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Inspect equipment, facilities, plumbing, and electrical systems regularly.
- Address potential issues proactively.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment and conduct safety training.
- Record maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and fix equipment, plumbing, and electrical failures.
- Coordinate specialized repairs with external vendors.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Plumbing and Electrical Work:
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, fixtures).
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure work complies with relevant codes and safety standards.
Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
- Procure parts and materials as needed.
