Finance Executive
Oceanpick is based in the East Coast of Sri Lanka and manages the only offshore fish farm in South Asia and is one of the largest in the Region. We are an export-oriented, BOI Company and have been in operation for over 10 years.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to support the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, preparing financial and management reports, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial and management accounts, analyzing financial data and trends.
- Manage banking operations, including cheque writing, bank transfers, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee cash flow, inventory, and payment/receipt documentation in compliance with audit standards.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships, including evaluating quotations and supporting procurement decisions.
- Perform internal controls related to farm operations, purchases, and stock.
- Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and assist with audits.
- Provide administrative support including correspondence, documentation management, and reminders for payables/receivables.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Partially or fully qualified in CA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Minimum of two years of experience in management accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP accounting systems.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge about taxation will be an added advantage.
