EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of chefs in the daily preparation of a variety of high-quality dishes
- Design and curate a dynamic and seasonal menu, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine and international flavors
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control are consistently maintained
- Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Collaborate with management to enhance the dining experience and cater to guest preferences
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to create a cohesive and efficient team
Prerequisites:
- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury or boutique hotel setting
- A deep passion for culinary arts and a strong knowledge of both local and international cuisines
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional communication skills and a guest-focused approach to service
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is preferred.
