The Job:

• We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our Legal team as an Executive – Legal Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support across all departments within the organization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Handle legal disputes, litigation, and coordinate with external legal counsel when required.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, and summaries.
• Assist in corporate secretarial matters, including preparation of board resolutions and meeting documentation.
• Maintain a repository of legal documents and ensure proper record-keeping.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law and qualification as an Attorney -at-Law.
• Notary License and Commission of Oaths in the Colombo District.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a corporate or law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and labor law.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
