Sarvodaya, the premier voluntary social development organization in Sri Lanka immediately requires dynamic, self-motivated and service-oriented person to fill the following vacancy.

Supporting the successful implementation of District activities assigned by Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement through innovative and creative approaches, effective communication and coordination with the district teams, Government and civil authorities.

Major Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the implementation of district-wide programs and initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational goals and comply with regulations.
  • Researching, and understanding the district-wide needs and requirements.
  • Planning and organizing development work related to the district with guidance and directions from the supervisors.
  • Analyzing requirements from a district point of view and taking initiatives to address them.
  • Managing the allocation and distribution of resources, budgets, materials, and human resources, to optimize district operations.
  • Analyzing data related to staff performance, staff evaluations, and program effectiveness to inform decision-making and strategic planning efficiency.
  • Involving in project planning and donor relations.
  • Representing the district in external forums, including conferences, seminars, and public meetings, to advocate for district interests and forge partnerships.
  • Investigating and resolving complaints or issues arising within the district, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of the district office and premises keeping with high standards expected by the management.
  • Managing high efficiency in organization and allocation of work.
  • Attending to any other tasks assigned by the management.
  • Effectively leading the district staff in project work.
  • Ensure that all operations relating to projects are completed in accordance to the standards on time with minimum errors and complaints.
  • Initiating new programmes and overseeing the existing non-funded programs giving the same attention and care as the funded programs.
  • Ensuring organization ethics and values are maintained and practiced in all operations.

Key Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management/management / social sciences or 8-10 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • A Diploma in project management or management is an added advantage for those who have done a degree. For those with only experience it is a must.
  • 3-4 years of working experience in a similar capacity with Degree.
  • Proven track record in district level project management or coordination.
  • Age: Age between 35 - 40 years.
  • Remuneration: LKR 50,000 - 55,000.
