ASSISTANT ENGINEER
Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance (PM & CM) by executing scheduled maintenance and attending to emergency corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
- Project coordination by planning and managing CM works, including arranging required resources, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and preparing relevant reports.
- Management of sites and stocks by conducting visits when necessary, tracking stock usage, and ensuring proper maintenance of material and tool inventories.
- Inventory oversight by inspecting and managing tools and materials assigned to team members, and overseeing the organization of the warehouse.
- Managing teams by coordinating team member leaves, managing related documentation, and ensuring adequate personnel coverage during absences.
- Monitoring of systems by performing online monitoring of solar PV plants to identify and troubleshoot performance issues or system errors.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Full or partial completion of NDT, TTI, HNDE or NVQ 6 equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic/Mechanical engineering from a recognized university and institution.
- Previous experience in solar PV systems will be a definite advantage.
- Ability to address customer inquiries, provide recommendations, and establish trust.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and other applications.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around Horana.
