INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EXECUTIVE
GRI is a leading specialty tire producer in Sri Lanka. We have been supplying tires to more than 100 countries worldwide since 2002. GRI has sales offices in the United States, Europe and Australia. We produce high-performance tires for Agriculture, Material Handling, and Construction vehicles.
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated IT Executive to join our team at the Head Office in Colombo 04 of a leading organization in the Rubber Tire Manufacturing Industry. This role will be responsible for supporting and executing key IT functions, including system administration, user support, IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity initiatives, and operational IT processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of working collaboratively with multiple departments to ensure IT systems and services align with business objectives. This position plays an important role in strengthening our technological capabilities, enhancing user experience, and driving operational effectiveness at a corporate level.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & maintaining software and hardware devices.
- Manage and support wired and wireless LAN network infrastructure.
- Perform scheduled data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Provide L1 and L2 problem-solving services to network users.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware and software resources.
- Perform routine workstation maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
- Maintain PABX, CCTV, and biometric readers.
- Knowledge in Fortinet & Sophos Firewall.
- Hands-on experience on Microsoft server and workstation operating systems and services, including AD, DNS, DHCP, RDP, and group policy administration.
- Knowledge in VMware, Cisco, Citrix, SQL, Sophos, Cyberoam, ERP(SAP) O365, and Linux will be an advantage.
- Be highly disciplined and work independently and in harmony with the team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and provide on-call support when required.
- Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in the field of Information Technology.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar field/role is advantageous.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, and LPI/RHCSA would be added qualifications.
