What you need to do

  • Develop trade plans to grow sales and customer penetration into the category.
  • Own the end to end buying and merchandising processes, ensuring the most profitable range is developed from the insights available.
  • Work closely with the operations team and supply chain team to ensure problems are resolved while asking the right questions to find out issues and resolve them collectively.
  • Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends.
  • Discover and launch new products and review performance of products already in range.

What we are looking for

  • A Degree in Business Management/Marketing and/or a Professional Qualification in CIMA/ ACCA/ CIM.
  • Experience in the FMCG sector would be an added advantage.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating.
  • Up to speed with buying best practices.
  • Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
