At MJF Charitable Foundation, we are committed to supporting children with special needs and their families through innovative and personalized programs. As a leading organization in our field, we are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled psychologist to join our dynamic team.

Location: Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify the specific needs and strengths of children with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
  • Provide counseling and therapy sessions to children and their families, employing evidence-based interventions and strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic and integrated support for each child.
  • Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers, empowering them to navigate the unique challenges associated with their child’s special needs.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Specialization or 1-3 years of experience in working with children with special needs is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
