Junior Executive- Internal Audit

Location - Head Office, Colombo 5

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Internal Audit in the development of comprehensive audit programs for assigned areas of audit, in conformance with applicable standards as well as department plans, budgets and schedules
  • Lead fact-finding reviews and inspections as and when an incident occurs or when the need arises
  • Interact with key management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations of business and process improvement under the guidance of the Head Internal Audit/ Supervisor
  • Perform effective risk and control assessments
  • Identify, analyse, evaluate and record information to achieve the audit’s objectives
  • Conduct audits on Financial statements quarterly and annually, accounting procedures, Revenue management, assets and liability management, Investment operations and prepare analysis, reviews and BAC presentations
  • Review and evaluate the system of management controls and assess their adequacy and effectiveness
  • Prepare working papers documenting adequately work performed including programs and maintain of evidences
  • Assess the reliability and effective use of internal controls and assist in reviewing procedures
  • Support the regulatory compliance program and perform necessary checks

Applicants should possess the following

  • Part qualification form CIMA, CA, ACCA
  • Bachelor's degree from recognized university related to Accountancy, Business Administration, or Finance
  • Two years' internal audit experience in Insurance or Finance company
  • Good report writing skills
  • Strong skills in using MS Office packages
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills
