Team Leader - Finance & Accounting

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and submission of UK VAT returns.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of Self-Assessment tax returns for relevant individuals.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of Corporation Tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Manage the full payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments and compliance with UK payroll legislation.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with UK payroll regulations.
  • Oversee bookkeeping and record-keeping transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in UK bookkeeping.
  • Experience in finance and accounting, with a strong emphasis on UK tax compliance, payroll, and company secretarial duties.
  • Proven expertise in preparing and submitting UK VAT returns, Self Assessments, and Corporation Tax returns.
  • Good knowledge and experience in MS Excel and bookkeeping in Xero and Dext would be an added advantage.
  • Following or completing a relevant degree program or professional qualification in CIMA / ACCA / CMA / AAT / CA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
