Overview of the role
The Senior Executive - Technical Advisor is responsible for providing essential technical advice, knowledge, and expertise to the after-sales team regarding new motorcycles. This role involves regular visits to dealer locations to educate dealers and their staff on motorcycle features and specifications based on customer requirements. The Senior Executive ensures that the sales operation is well-informed and capable of delivering exceptional customer service and support.
What you will do
- Offer expert advice and solutions for technical issues related to new motorcycles.
- Frequently visit dealer locations to assess and enhance the technical knowledge of sales dealers and their staff.
- Ensure dealers are well-informed about motorcycle features and specifications.
- Educate the sales team on technical aspects of motorcycles to improve their product knowledge.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to keep the team updated on the latest technical developments.
- Assist in addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to motorcycle technicalities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective technical support.
- Work closely with the sales and after-sales teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive technical support.
- Provide necessary technical know-how to the after-sales team as needed.
What equips you for the role
- A diploma in automobile or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in after-sales operations, preferably in the motorcycle business.
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala. Ability to speak Tamil is an additional advantage.
- Quantitative and analytical skills, along with proficiency in computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Required skills to be successful
- In-depth knowledge of automobile mechanics, particularly motorcycles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Effective in conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in educating and training sales and after-sales teams.
