ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

We invite ambitious individuals to join our dynamic finance team as an Assistant Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced tech environment while sharpening your skills and advancing your career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the Accountant and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial accounts and other financial reports;
• Preparation of Annual budgets.
• Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, payables, receivables, and purchase orders.
• Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors, and vendors.
• Handling tax-related matters of the organization.
• Strict adherence to all Statutory and Compliance regulations.
• Execute internal controls and provide feedback for improvement.

CANDIDATE PROFILE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Part qualification in ICASL/CIMA or similar.
• 1 - 2 years working experience in similar capacity (similar sector).
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables).
• Polite & assertive personality.
• Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Age below 35 years.
