Junior Executive - Sustainability
Location: Colombo - Sri Lanka
About the Role:
This role supports EFL’s sustainability goals by coordinating the collection, consolidation, and reporting of environmental and ESG data across our global operations. The ideal candidate will be analytical, passionate about climate action, and proactive in supporting sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with global stations to gather and consolidate sustainability and carbon footprint data regularly
- Perform data quality checks and mapping to maintain reporting accuracy and integrity
- Support the development of ESG reports, sustainability audits, and compliance documentation
- Generate customised sustainability reports for key clients based on their specific requirements
- Assist in managing sustainability certifications and compliance with environmental regulations
- Conduct research on sustainability trends, technologies, and benchmarks to support strategy development
- Support and coordinate internal awareness campaigns, training, and CSR initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, preferably in environmental science, physical/biological sciences, or agriculture
- Understanding of sustainability concepts including GHG accounting and ESG frameworks
- Knowledge of sustainability certifications and environmental regulations
- Project management and research skills
- Passion for climate action and sustainable business practices
- Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of data analysis tools is an advantage
- 1–2 years of experience in sustainability or sustainable logistics research is preferred
