The Job

  • Design and implement card operations policies and procedures while recommending changes to increase efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Payment Card Association on processing licensing fees, reconciliations, settlements and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Manage Card Issuing and Merchant Acquiring Operations of the company.
  • Effectively manage the card operations unit comprising of card ordering, delivery and card dispatch, transaction processing, statement delivery, statistical analysis, settlements and associated support functions while managing card issuance and merchant operation process.
  • Derive processing efficiencies through re-engineering efforts, resulting in reduced cost of operations and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and control the operational risks of the department.
  • Monitor and maintain fraud control programs and procedures.
  • Analyze industry trends, regulatory requirements and risk issues to direct the company on implementation of special initiatives which impact on card services.
  • Coordinate with the technology team to ensure all card operations related systems are managed.

The Person

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling card operations function in a Bank/ Licensed Finance Company.
  • Bachelor's degree or a Professional Qualification in Business, Finance or Economics and MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure in Card Issuing and Merchant Acquiring Operations would be a definite plus.
  • Attention to detail and progressive thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Project Management in migration projects or product implementation would be beneficial.
