Overview of the role
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market competitiveness. This role involves detailed analysis of market trends, customer behavior, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to ensure pricing decisions are aligned with overall business goals and provide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives.
Scope of the role
- Analyze pricing data, market trends, and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for margin improvement and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support decision-making across business units.
- Work closely with sales and product teams to evaluate price proposals, quote requests, and promotional pricing strategies.
- Monitor and report on the financial impact of pricing decisions and adjustments.
- Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to predict the outcomes of pricing strategies.
- Ensure pricing structures are consistent with corporate policies, regional regulations, and customer contracts.
- Support system updates and data entry related to pricing in ERP and CRM platforms.
- Continuously review pricing processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field or professional certification (e.g., CIMA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or business analytics, preferably within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and pricing tools or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is a must.
