Junior Technician Camera Servicing
The Junior Technician will assist in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of cameras and imaging equipment under the guidance of senior technical staff. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with basic technical knowledge and a strong willingness to learn. The position involves equipment inspection, minor repairs, documentation, and supporting the overall workflow of the service department.
JOB PROFILE
- Assist in the inspection and diagnosis of faults in cameras (DSLR, mirrorless, compact) and accessories.
- Perform basic servicing tasks such as cleaning, firmware updates, and minor adjustments.
- Support senior technicians in more complex repair work.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Handle tools and equipment responsibly and maintain workstation cleanliness.
- Assist in inventory management of spare parts and tools.
- Communicate basic technical updates or explanations to the customer service team when required.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with camera technology, product features, and repair techniques.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 3/4 or Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in electronic repairs or similar technical roles (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of camera systems and electronic components.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical servicing environment.
- Familiarity with Canon or other major camera brands.
- Basic soldering skills and use of hand tools.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic.
