Vacancy: Kitchen - Chef de Partie

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Degree or Diploma: Having a formal education in culinary arts is essential for this role.
  • Prior experience working abroad or in a luxury Hotel Cold and hot kitchen will be an advantage, preferably as a Demi Chef de Partie.
  • Proficiency in preparing cold and hot dishes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop new recipes, design meals and showcase creativity in presentation.
  • Precision and meticulousness are crucial in kitchen work to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Collaboration with other kitchen staff, effective communication, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the following:

  • Overseeing the production of cold and hot food to meet service requirements.
  • Ensuring that all food items meet the established standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to plan food offerings for different menus and special events.
  • Training and supervising junior staff to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring proper food handling practices in the kitchen department.
  • Substitute Sous Chef during absence.
