ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Nyne Hotels is a pioneering operator of unique luxury boutique hotels and villas in Sri Lanka. We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking, and creative individuals to join us as an Accounts Assistant at our distinctive Villa and Exclusive Restaurant, Nyne Hotels - Lake Lodge/Table by Nyne. The Accounts Assistant will assist in general accounting operations at the property. We encourage experienced young applicants who are team players and willing to work long hours to apply.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide administrative and accounting support to senior accounting and finance staff. Your tasks will include:

  • Handling administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering queries to the property management and head office finance department
  • Perform clerical duties
  • Ensuring accuracy in cash receipts and records
  • Processing expense requests for the Accountant's approval
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentations
  • Handle property GRNs and verify accuracy
  • Maintain petty cash vouchers and reimbursements

Requirements and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Fluency in English
  • Industry experience is a must
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Relevant certification (e.g., AAT or Level 5 and Level 6 in Business Administration, bookkeeping, or finance) is preferred
