Communications Officer – MJF Charitable Foundation

We are looking to hire an experienced and dedicated individual to support MJFCF’s internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public, and to coordinate events.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and be able to compose engaging content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Sinhala and Tamil would be an added advantage.
• Should have superior time management and multitasking abilities, planning and organizing skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects
• Must have the ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
• Must have a bachelor’s degree or similar qualification along with an experience of 06 months – 01 years related to communications
• Should be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and design software or apps like Canva related to communications
• Previous experience in charity or welfare organizations would be an added advantage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, support and promote the goals of MJFCF using social media platforms, media reports and the official website and YouTube channels
• Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases and other material that communicate MJFCF’s activities or services, and seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand
• Promote communication materials and ensure digital marketing content aligns with MJFCF’s identity and brand standards
• Track analytics, create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns in line with communications and marketing best practices
