Executive / Junior Executive Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with operational procedures in line with departmental guidelines.
- Respond promptly and accurately to routine inquiries from Principals and customers.
- Support the operations team with task allocation and basic documentation under supervision.
- Help monitor disbursement accounts, petty cash, and basic payment processes as directed.
- Coordinate with internal teams for daily operations, remittances, and collections.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to support client retention.
- Assist in ensuring vessel operations run smoothly and in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Help compile and submit routine statistical and management reports.
- Support business development efforts by handling service inquiries and assisting in project follow-ups.
- Participate in critical operations under guidance until they are handed over.
- Attend on-board vessel visits and respond to operational needs as required.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, ethics, and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively within the team and report effectively to senior staff.
Skills and Experience Required
- A diploma or degree in Shipping, Logistics, or a related field (or pursuing a qualification from the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Basic knowledge of port and vessel operations.
- Good command of English (written and spoken). Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Willingness and ability to be available for work 24/7 to meet operational demands and emergencies.
