Head of Quality Assurance

Varna Limited is a leading company in the flexible packaging industry, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to our global clientele. To maintain and elevate our quality standards, we are seeking a highly experienced Head of Quality Assurance to lead our in-process quality assurance function.

As the Head of Quality Assurance at Varna Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the highest quality standards across all stages of our flexible packaging production process, including extrusion, printing, slitting, laminating, and pouch-making. Your focus will be on enforcing rigorous quality assurance measures, optimizing resource utilization, and minimizing operational waste to consistently deliver products that meet customer requirements on time, without defects or rework.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering or a related field
• Graduate Diploma in Packaging is a plus
• 10-15 years of experience in quality management within the flexible packaging industry
• Advanced certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor) are preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills

What you need to do

• Oversee and enforce robust in-process quality assurance measures, ensuring all products consistently meet internal and customer-specific standards
• Build and manage a skilled quality assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence
• Provide specialized knowledge in extrusion, printing, slitting, laminating, and pouch-making processes to ensure seamless operations and high-quality output
