Job Profile

  • Operations Management:

    Oversee all deposits and savings operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to service level agreements for all transactional processes.

  • Process Optimization:

    Design and streamline system processes with proper audit trails and controls, collaborating with IT and Finance to enhance overall efficiency.

  • Decentralization:

    Implement decentralized operations at the branch level, ensuring precise documentation, timely payments, and effective follow-up procedures.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    Innovate and refine procedures, best practices, and methods to meet departmental objectives and enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

    Ensure operations comply with CBSL guidelines and the Inland Revenue Act and submit necessary compliance reports to relevant authorities.

  • Training & Education:

    Educate and train branch and head office business units on standards, guidelines, and procedures as needed.

  • Digital Integration:

    Support and facilitate the development and implementation of digital products and requirements related to the deposits and savings unit.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and/or a professional qualification in Banking/Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of overall work experience, with at least 3 years of experience at MI.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including compliance with Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Inland Revenue guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate staff, with experience in performance management, training, process efficiency, and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle special assignments, compliance requirements, and seasonal promotions, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
