FINANCE EXECUTIVE / FINANCE ASSISTANT

What is the role?

As part of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for a range of activities that ensure the smooth and efficient handling of financial transactions and reporting.

Finance Executive

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Process financial and accounting transactions accurately and on time.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and perform general ledger reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
  • Handle tax-related matters such as VAT computations, schedules, and income tax/statutory submissions.
  • Prepare cost breakdowns, analytical reports, and balance sheet schedules.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in compiling data for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.

What knowledge and skills are expected in an ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Partly qualified in CA, CIMA, CPA, or ACCA.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Finance Assistant

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Invoicing, processing payments, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies to ensure accuracy in records.
  • Monitor & track company expenses, ensuring that they stay within budget.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and organize necessary documentation.

What knowledge and skills are expected in an ideal candidate?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or completion of AAT, or part qualifications in CA or ACCA.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role. Prior experience in an audit firm will be considered an added advantage.
  • A good understanding of ERP systems or accounting software is essential.

These positions are based at Corporate Office in Colombo 03. The working days are from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
