About the Role

At WebLife, we're seeking a Business Development Representative to accelerate our commercial growth through strategic outbound operations. As a 16-year pioneering force in e-commerce and the largest distributor of mailboxes across the U.S. with over $250M in all-time revenue, we need a commercially savvy outbound specialist who can uncover high-value opportunities and accelerate quoting velocity. This role combines sales operations with strategic outreach, operating in our flexible work-from-home environment while supporting our global e-commerce operations from our WebLife Labs division in Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Detection and Pipeline Management
    • Project bidding tools, permit intelligence, and AI-assisted data stack to surface high-potential opportunities.
    • Distill large datasets into qualified, time-sensitive actions for internal teams.
    • Own the quoting queue, ensuring internal teams move fast and accurately.
    • Maintain 4-6 qualified quotes per day consistently and accurately.
  • Outbound Execution and Lead Generation
    • Design and execute outbound flows that challenge status quo vendors.
    • Use enriched data and industry signals to speak directly to project and procurement pain points.
    • Create personalized outreach that feels timely and unavoidable across email, LinkedIn, phone, and AI voice agents.
    • Build 3-5 personalized outreach flows that generate measurable replies and meetings.
    • Control the full funnel from initial contact to qualified opportunity.
  • Quote Progression and CRM Management
    • Log, tag, and manage every opportunity with surgical clarity in the CRM.
    • Follow up systematically on all opportunities to maximize conversion potential.
    • Maintain tight feedback loops with quoting, product, and fulfillment teams.
    • Influence 15-20% of all quoting activity in the system.
    • Contribute to $80K-$120K in quote-originated pipeline with tracked early-stage conversion activity.
  • Revenue Operations and Process Improvement
    • Operate as part of a revenue lab focused on continuous testing and optimization.
    • Identify key patterns across bids, timing, specs, vertical behavior, and project types.
    • Participate in weekly testing of sequences, workflows, and feedback loops.
    • Leverage AI voice agents and automation to increase outbound efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years of real B2B outbound experience in project-driven, high-ticket, or infrastructure-related industries, preferably with experience in US/UK/Australian markets.
  • Commercial Sales Expertise: Fluency in commercial sales mechanics including quoting, bidding, procurement cycles, and vendor on-boarding.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of outbound tools (Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email tools) and CRM systems.
  • AI and Automation: Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) and understanding of how to leverage them for research, outreach, and workflow efficiency beyond basic usage.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, persuasive writing and natural commercial awareness with emails that generate responses.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: Discipline around tracking, feedback, and iteration with ability to prioritize pipelines without supervision.

Technical Competencies

  • Expertise in outbound sales tools and CRM systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with AI tools for sales acceleration.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with no-code tools and workflow optimization.
  • Understanding of data analysis and pattern recognition for sales insights.
