Vacancy – Trainee Plant Operator
STAY Naturals Private Limited focuses on producing essential oils, oleoresins and plant-based active ingredients. Our processing facility is located at Matale, close to some of the most bountiful spice-growing regions in the country. Our aim is to provide our customers with high-quality, nutritious products that take advantage of the special organoleptic properties of Sri Lankan spices.
In line with our expansion and growth plans, we are looking for a dynamic individual with a positive attitude to join our team in the capacity of ‘Trainee Plant Operator’.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Has an educational background with some chemistry.
- Diploma in mechanical/chemical engineering preferred.
- Willing to cover shifts in a 24-hour shift roster.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain records and data.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- The ability to understand, follow, and apply policies, practices, and operating procedures.
- Should live near or be willing to relocate to Palapathwela, Matale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate plant equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures under the guidance of the shift in charge.
- Help monitor plant operations to ensure efficient performance and adherence to production schedules.
- Help conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment malfunctions and downtime.
- Help with production planning, setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives, and communicating the same to stakeholders.
- Help maintain production output according to specifications in order to meet daily targets.
- Help prepare and submit daily production reports, monthly reports on performance and progress.
- Help organize workflows by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Help oversee and train employees, ensuring adherence to quality standards by all co-workers.
- Help identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
- Adhere to quality standards and help ensure their compliance by all co-workers.
