Job Profile
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper assists the Department Head in supervising and coordinating the activities of the Housekeeping team. He/ She manages the day-to-day operations of all Housekeeping and Laundry functions, participates in and enforces quality assurance and department cost control measures. The incumbent is attentive, customer focused, passionate, energetic and friendly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Should have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, departments and team members.
- Supervision of Check-in and Check-out rooms.
- Assign team members their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and other departments.
- Ensure adequate supplies of inventories, cleaning supplies & linen stock.
- Provide support in all areas of Housekeeping operation such as training, coaching and counselling.
- Ensure guest rooms are properly secured and that proper key control procedures are utilized by the Housekeeping team members.
- Assist in managing and controlling the departmental expenses.
- Attend to any guest’s complaints and take service recovery measures if required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role in a 5* resort in the Maldives.
- Experience in remote islands is desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership and financial skills.
- Fully verse written and spoken English, additional languages will be a plus.
