Designated Auditor
Location: Corporate Office (Wattala)
We are looking for a dedicated & committed individual to fill in the vacancy for the position. Ideal candidate should possess the following:
Job Role
- Ensure the Manufacturing Ready Package (MRP) and approved sample / PP samples are available.
- Attend Pre-Production Meetings, perform and follow up all audit activities per GAP Source Library/ Quality Assurance / QA Manual SOP. Guidelines.
- Ensure all audit results entered QAS within 1-2 days, maintain the QAS data accuracy.
- Immediately notify GIS PQA and FKR when there are conditions, defects, or problems in the in-process audits that are out of specification, tolerance, or do not meet first quality criteria.
- Regular review the GAP Source Library and follow.
- Ensure weekly audit plan with FKR and inform GIS PQA per factory shipment status.
- Attend Country DA meeting arranged by GIS PQA for training purposes upon request.
- Follow up on other activities as directed by FKR and GIS PQA.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to schedule audits in different stages of the manufacturing process.
- Audit and inspect incoming raw materials (fabrics, trims, accessories) to ensure they meet specified quality standards and comply with design requirements.
- Conduct in-process audits on the production line to verify that manufacturing processes adhere to established quality standards.
- Identify and address any deviations from approved specifications or quality benchmarks.
- Perform final product inspections to ensure that finished garments meet defined quality criteria, including size, color, stitching, and overall workmanship.
- Work closely with production teams to analyze the root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain comprehensive records of audit findings, including photographic evidence and detailed reports.
- Provide training to production and quality control teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance overall quality performance.
Individual Profile
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Designated Auditor/ Quality Auditor in the apparel industry.
- Be a strong character and integrity with a desire and aptitude to learn and understand customer code of conducts, policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
