Senior Merchandiser (Concord Manufacturing (Private) Limited, Thambuttegama)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute all merchandising activities related to knit and woven textile products.
- Handle the complete product lifecycle from development, sampling, costing, and order confirmation to delivery.
- Develop accurate production forecasts and monitor timelines through critical path management.
- Liaise with suppliers and buyers to ensure clear communication, negotiate prices and delivery schedules.
- Monitor production progress and work closely with QA teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Analyze and plan order execution based on factory capacity and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to production, costing, and order follow-ups.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior merchandisers and QA personnel.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in merchandising, preferably in knit and woven apparel.
- A Degree or Diploma in Merchandising, Textile Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- In-depth knowledge of yarn types, knitting, dyeing, fabric finishes, and garment construction.
- Strong understanding of production planning, costing, and supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage budgets, achieve targets, and optimize resource utilization.
- Experience in dealing with international buyers and maintaining professional client relations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Age between 30 and 40 years is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant ERP systems will be an added advantage.
