Dara Switchboards (Pvt) Ltd is part of the global offshore operation of ABBA Renewables and ABBA Engineering in Australia. Our team in Sri Lanka works together with the Australian counterparts in delivering exceptional electrical solutions to the international market through the main operation and manufacturing facilities in Melbourne and Kalgoorlie. The purpose of this role is to support the Peoples and Culture (HR) Manager and her team in the day-to-day HR operations of the company. This is a virtual, working from home full time role. The working hours will be from 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. You will be working in line with Western Australian calendar and only the public holidays applicable in Australia will be applicable for you. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English as you will be conversing with counterparts in the Australian operation and will need to make calls to employees and outside parties over the company phone applications.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Core Objectives
- Provide essential administrative support to the People and Culture (HR) team, ensuring the smooth operation of routine transactional activities and maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- This role focuses on supporting recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, data management, and reporting.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Support recruitment activities, including job ad management, reference checks, medical bookings, telephone screening, shortlisting, and interview scheduling.
- Facilitate onboarding activities, such as document collection, employee profile setup across multiple platforms, and database maintenance.
- Assist with employee system training, induction scheduling, and probation/performance management documentation.
- Act as a backup recruiter during team absences.
- Provide administrative support for visa and nomination applications for sponsored candidates.
Employment Lifecycle Support
- Coordinate permits and refresher training scheduling and bookings.
- Provide administrative support for employment variations, promotions, salary reviews, bonus releases, and performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date trackers for HR activities.
- Support documentation formatting, form creation, and system documentation updates.
- Assist with employee offboarding activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Utilize and improve templates, procedures, and processes to enhance team accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Document Control and Reporting

Qualifications/Competencies
- Bachelor of Human Resources and/or Diploma in Human Resources or Administration.
English Language Competencies
- Excellent written and fluent spoken English communication skills are essential. This competency is a MUST.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience with financial software systems, such as Xero, simPRO, and banking programs.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and drive process improvements.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all HR matters.
