ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare invoices, journal entries, and ensure timely and accurate data entry.
- Handle bank reconciliations and verify all company deposits.
- Support monthly closing activities, including ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with monthly tax obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare project costing reports and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Liaise with banks regarding revolving credit facilities and follow up on settlement plans.
- Assist in audit preparations and maintain proper documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Part or fully qualified in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, or CMA.
- 2–4 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems for accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Exposure to audits and tax compliance will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel with strong skills in managing financial data.
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / ACCOUNT ASSISTANT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate and ensure timely payments to suppliers, subcontractors, service providers, and utility companies.
- Assist with monthly account closing, audit preparation, and reporting.
- Coordinate with vendors, banks, and internal teams on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Part-qualified in AAT or CA Sri Lanka.
- 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience using ERP systems to process transactions, maintain records, and generate financial reports.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication skills and a responsible approach to work.
