Job Purpose
Habib Bank Limited – Sri Lanka is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Compliance to join our dynamic team. Assistant Manager compliance is responsible for assisting country compliance functions in implementing policies and procedures as enumerated under the Global Compliance Policy of HBL and respective regulators of Sri Lanka in order to ensure sustainable business growth upholding Bank’s reputation.
Responsibilities of the applicant:
- Assist the management in the implementation of necessary systems which inculcate regulatory requirements, compliance policies and procedures in order to create awareness of all requirements among the staff and embed a strict compliance culture.
- Implement country specific Compliance and AML / KYC / Policies for HBL to ensure that policies and procedures are reviewed as per specified review frequencies and remain compliant with local regulations, respective Central Bank’s regulations, control guidelines, and bank’s global policies and / or other standards at all times.
- Act as assistant MLRO and perform frequent compliance tests and undertake independent reviews at regular intervals in order to assess the compliance with regulatory rules and internal compliance standards of the bank and other regulatory agencies / departments.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university / or Equivalent Professional qualification.
Minimum experience:
- 03 - 04 years compliance experience required in banking field.
