Job Role / Responsibilities
- Preparation of Monthly Payroll & handling EPF and ETF Payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly / annual financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash flows.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Liase with suppliers, clients, and internal departments for financial clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, WHT, and income tax filings.
- Assist with external and internal audits, including gathering supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA or an equivalent professional accounting body.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized university is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Sri Lankan tax laws, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, Oracle, SAP, or ERP systems.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience in liaising with financial institutions for day-to-day banking operations and transaction processing.
- Experience working with a Destination Management Company (DMC) or travel agency would be an added advantage.
